Our colleagues Daniel Álvarez and Cebrián García have traveled this week to the AO Foundation facilities in Davos (Switzerland) to complete the installation of the first bioprinting equipment of the cmRNAbone project (Horizon 2020).

The main objective of the cmRNAbone project is to create a novel bone regenerative therapeutic approach based on a combination of chemically modified RNA vector systems embedded in a 3D-printed guiding material tailored to the needs of trauma and osteoporotic patients.

One of the task of IDONIAL will be focused on the development of this bioprinter, which has been designed and manufactured by IDONIAL following the requirements of the project and seeking to provide a solution to the needs detected in terms of robustness, deposition control, cleanliness, light cross-linking (UV or 365nm) and ease of use, complemented with an intuitive and accessible software.
